County Road 100

BAYLEY ROAD - Uknown origin

NOTE: No index was ever created for this road. Some old adjoining property deeds mention a road. No research has ever disclosed the origin of a legally created road at this location. It was surveyed at 50 feet wide in county survey 10294. It was named for Daniel D. Bayley who immigrated to this area in 1845. In about 1860, Daniel left Chehalem Valley for the coast where he eventually founded Garibaldi.

This road is at least 80 years old, based on the old deed references. Therefore, it is assumed to be a public road by perscriptive easement, with a sufficient width to continue maintaining it in its present state.
