Economic Development Grants Program

The Yamhill County FY2020-2021 Economic Development Grant Program has been temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 emergency. Check back for information on the new Yamhill County COVID-19 Response + Recovery Grant Program in the coming weeks. 

Yamhill County FY2019 Economic Development Grant Awards
 
The Yamhill County Economic Development Grants Program recently distributed $200,000 of funding for two grants programs after receiving applications submitted to the county.
 
Eligible projects for the grant had elements to their proposals that expanded the current economic capacity in their area by creating or retaining jobs; or helping to retain, relocate, or expand current businesses; partnering with private investment; enhancing manufacturing capacity; advancing innovation; or providing workforce development opportunities. 
 
The Economic Development Grant Program distributed a combined $150,000 to three winning projects within the Strategic Investment Fund Grant to applicant organizations that applied for funding that would bring economic benefit to the area.
 
The Economic Development Grant Program also distributed a combined total of $50,000 to five outstanding projects for the Small Grant. 
 
The Economic Development Grants Program seeks to support innovation and sustainable growth through strategic investments of development initiatives that create or retain jobs, generate increased economic activity, and improve the economic and social livability and vitality of local communities. Awardees for the FY2019 grant cycle are:

Start-up Grants
      
       1. Chatanika Farms - $25,000
       2. Vesuvian Forge- $25,000
 
Strategic Investment Funds

  1. City of Willamina - $20,674
  2. Berger International - $64,663
  3. Mac Market - $64,663

 
Small Grants

  1. Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce - $10,000
  2. Flag & Wire Coffee Co. - $10,000
  3. Visit McMinnville (Yamhill County Tourism Partnership) - $10,000
  4. Chehalem Center Association (Chehalem Cultural Center) - $10,000
  5. Carlton & Coast Tavern - $10,000

The Yamhill County Community Grants Program supports innovation and sustainable growth through strategic investments and partnerships in economic development initiatives and projects that create or retain jobs, generate increased economic activity, and improve the economic and social livability and vitality of local communities. Applications will be accepted according to the following schedule:

Start-up Grants - May 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019

Strategic Investment Grants - May 1, 2019 through June 30, 2019

Small Grants - May 1, 2019 through June 30, 2019
