History
Edward Grenfell, a founding member of the Yamhill County Parks Board, generously donated the five-acre parcel that bears his name in 1962. Six years later, E.J. Fagan donated a nearby two-acre lot in the Hidden Hills subdivision that Yamhill County hopes to develop as an addition to Ed Grenfell Park.
In 2004, Yamhill Basin Council volunteers completed the third year of planting native trees and shrubs along Baker Creek in Ed Grenfell Park. As the trees mature, they will provide food for wildlife, prevent erosion, and shade the creek, improving habitat for native fish. However people will enjoy one of the greatest benefits: private, shaded picnic areas nestled within beautiful native riparian forest.
