No one chooses to be a victim of crime. Our office is committed to listening to victims' stories with empathy and compassion. We stand firmly with crime victims to ensure they have a voice in the justice system. We are committed to treating each victim with dignity and respect as they go through the criminal justice process.
The Victim Services Division of the Yamhill County District Attorney's Office has a team of Crime Victim Advocates who help victims in their time of need by providing them information, resources, and referrals.
Depending on the case, Crime Victim Advocates may be able assist victims with requesting restitution for out-of-pocket expenses they incur as a result of the crime. These may include costs related to property loss or damage, bills for medical expenses or counseling, and loss of wages.
