Sheriff Jack Crabtree

Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree Sheriff Crabtree was appointed then elected Yamhill County Sheriff in November 2002.

Background
Currently serves as the Sheriff of Yamhill County. The citizens of Yamhill County elected Sheriff Crabtree in 2002. Sheriff Crabtree has over twenty-six years of law enforcement experience in the areas of Corrections, Patrol, Investigations, Supervision and Administration. Sheriff Crabtree commands a full service Sheriff’s Office that includes a Patrol Division, a 259 inmate Correctional Facility, Dog Control, Search and Rescue, Volunteers, Interagency Narcotics Team, Canine, Marine Patrol, Reserves, Cadets, Detective Division, Civil Process, Chaplain Program, Contract Cities, Crime Prevention, Mounted Posse, Records and Administration, with budgets totaling over $12,000, 000. In addition to his duties as Sheriff, Sheriff Crabtree is the Chairman of the Board for Yamhill Communications (YCOM) Board that oversees the annual budget of $2,746,076.

    Currently a member of the Oregon State Sheriff’s Association, serving on committees such as: Budget, Audit, Prisoner Transport, State Criminal Justice Information System, Legislative, Juvenile Crime Prevention Advisory, Publication, US Attorney HIDTA, and Oregon District Attorney’s Association Chair. He is member of the National Sheriff’s Association, Western States Sheriff’s Association, American Jail Association, DPSST Curriculum Committee, Association of Oregon Counties Board of Director, Domestic Violence Task Force, Chairman of the Yamhill County Interagency Narcotics Team (YCINT), Local Public Safety Council, Local Alcohol and Drug Planning Committee, Chairman of the Yamhill County Communications Agency (YCOM) and McMinnville Chamber Leadership Council

    Past participation as: Board Member of the Governor’s Task Force to Combat Child Maltreatment, CASA, Yamhill County Road Improvement Advisory Board, United Way of Yamhill County, and Vice President Elect of the McMinnville Noon Rotary Club.

    He has served on various teams such as the Yamhill County Major Crimes Team and the Yamhill County Multidisciplinary Child Abuse Team.
