Notes:

• Second Courthouse: built 1858 after fire destroyed the earlier building. Cost new: $14,000. Contractor: Rush Mendenhall. The third Courthouse was built in McMinnville in 1888, when the county seat was moved. The second structure was still in good shape when razed in 1922. It was used as a seminary and broom factory during its final years. The third courthouse was demolished in 1963 when the current courthouse was constructed.
• Eva Courtney's Store: In 1962, this was Bunn's Used Furniture Store. Presently Bill's Market, at Third and Bridge Streets.
• Evangelical (Poling Memorial) Church - now operated by the Historical Society as a museum facility.
• Hamblin Store - Lola Hamblin in white - Ethel Hamblin in black - 1914
• Reservoir Improvements: ca. 1920. 2nd man from left is Clarence Crimmins, 2nd from right is Loyde Bunn.
• Schoolhouse: now an antique store.
• Third St. Scene #1: Byron Totten operated this store, which he purchased from his mother, for just short of 50 years. He was honored at a celebration for his more than 42 years' volunteer efforts for the Lafayette Fire Department. Byron was a never ending source of local history, according to Chris Trunde, who worked for him for 8 years in the store.
• Lafayette Store 1928 - Eva Courtney seated.
• Meat Market - Adam Schweiger, prop.
• Lafayette Presbetarian Church Group - Ione Westerfield 3rd from Rt in Front Row
