Community Service Work Schedule

The community service program operates Monday through Friday during the summer months and Friday through Monday during the School Year. Youth are scheduled by their probation officers throughout the year.

Work crews begin at 8:00 A.M. at the Courthouse in McMinnville and end at 3:00 P.M in McMinnville. If youth live in the outlying areas, they are welcome to get their own ride to the Courthouse by 8 A.M.. If this is not an option, the Community Service Program provides a shuttle service to the outlying areas, youth will not receive compensation for the time they are in the vehicle to and from the pick up site. Here are those pick-up sites and times youth need to be there.

  • Carlton (Carlton JRH): 7:15
  • Newberg (City Hall): 7:30
  • Dundee (John's Restaurant): 7:40
  • Dayton (Dayton HS) 7:50
  • Sheridan (Sheridan HS): 7:30
  • Amity (Market): 7:50

Youth are asked be at the pick up site 5 minutes before the scheduled pick up time and wait until 10 minutes after, just in case the bus is running a little late that morning. The bus will then get youth to McMinnville by 8 am.

Youth will leave McMinnville at 3 p.m. to go back to your pick up site. Carlton will be dropped off at 3:15, Newberg 3:30, Dundee 3:40, Dayton 3:50, Sheridan 3:30 and Amity 3:50. Youth are made to understand that this is a privilege and can be taken away from youth at any time.

All youth must wear appropriate clothing which consist of long pants, long sleeved shirts, and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. All youth must bring a sack lunch and plenty of water for a full day of work.
