History

Edwin & Ruth Huber generously donated this 3.6-acre park to Yamhill County in 1956. The site of the old Happy Valley School is adjacent to the park.

In spring 2004, volunteers from the Yamhill Basin Council planted nearly 100 native trees and shrubs in the park. As they mature, they will shade the stream, improving conditions for native fish in Baker Creek and providing picnickers with a cool respite from the summer sun.
