Notice of Delinquent Property Taxes

Notices were mailed to all property owners that had an outstanding property tax as of May 21, 2018.  The following information will also be provided on personal property accounts and accounts subject to foreclosure.

Accounts with delinquent 2017 personal property tax– Property owner will be given notice that a lien warrant will be recorded, in the Yamhill County Clerk’s Office, if the 2017 tax is not paid in full by June 15, 2018.  These accounts include personal property manufactured homes and business personal property.

Accounts with delinquent 2014 real property tax–Property owner will be given notice that the 2014 tax and interest must be paid by July 15 to prevent foreclosure proceedings.
The notice will provide the amount due through June 15, 2018.  The “Account Information” search feature below will provide you with a current status of your account balance.

Monday, June 18, 2018, we will be switching service providers for making tax payments to Yamhill County Assessment and Tax. The new service provider is Forte Payment Services.

Paperless Billing Now Available

To sign up for paperless billing, please look on your annual tax statement and locate your unique authorization code on the top left corner.  Click the link below and follow the steps to register.  For help registering, please follow the instructions provided on the help portal within the eNotices website.
If you signed up with eNotices last year, you will not receive a tax statement in the mail from this year forward.  If you sign up with eNotices this year you will receive all future tax statements electronically.

Payment in Person

• Make payments in cash, check or money order at the Yamhill County Assessment and Taxation Office. County Courthouse, Room 42.

• Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Payment by Dropbox

• The Dropbox is located at the front entrance of the County Courthouse on NE 5th Street in McMinnville. 

• It is available at all hours, but cash payments are not allowed using this method.

Payment by Mail

• When paying by mail, make your check or money order payable to Yamhill County Tax Collector. Write your account number(s) on the front to ensure proper credit. Your cancelled check is your receipt. All payments are processed upon receipt.

• Our mailing address is: 535 NE 5th Street, Room 42, McMinnville, OR 97128.

Payment by Telephone – IVR Phone System

• This service is not available at our office. Yamhill County partners with Forte to offer property tax payments by telephone. 

• Dial 1-877-273-4878 to access the telephone payment system. You will be asked to provide your Yamhill County Property Tax account number, credit card or bank account information and payment amount.

Payment Online

• A valid e-mail address is required as a confirmation receipt is e-mailed to the user. 

• Forte is a third-party payment service provider, through which Yamhill County can accept credit/debit cards or e-check property tax payments. The Yamhill County Property Tax Payments page will provide account balances as of the date indicated. Please call if you feel this is not the most current.

• Convenience fees of 2.5%  of total charge (minimum $1.95) for credit cards, $3.95 for Visa Debit Cards and $1.50 for E-Check. 

Yamhill County does not collect or retain any portion of the convenience fee charged. Your payment is considered timely if the transmission time and date is prior to the 15th at 11:59 p.m.

The County does not generally issue any refunds for payments processed via this website. However, if you wish to inquire about initiating a potential refund, or have a question about charges made to your account, please contact our office.

Personal Property:

Personal Property return deadline is March 15, 2018

If received after: 
March 16 - June 1st - 5% penalty
June 2nd - August 1st - 25% penalty
August 2nd - 50% penalty 
Real Property return deadline was March 15, 2018

Please note, no application in MHODS can be processed without the County Certification form verifying the taxes are paid.
