The New Parent Network believes that PARENTS are the most important people in their
children's lives, therefore Healthy Start was developed. Our goal is to support parents in this
effort through information and links to your community.
Healthy Start is a free and voluntary program where a friendly person who listens comes to your home
during pregnancy and/or after the birth of your child providing you with information and resource
linkage. Your home visitor is a trained professional who will give you tips on relieving
stress, what to expect about your baby's normal development, and ideas on activities to help
your baby grow. They can give you links to locate services such as transportation, child care,
medical care, housing, food, parent groups and much more. These services are tailored to meet
you and your child's needs.
Services are free and available to Yamhill County families who are pregnant with their
first child, have given birth to their first child or are experiencing parenting for the first
time.
If you would like more information or would like to get involved: call (503)434-7424.
